The Tarwewijk is a neighborhood in the south of Rotterdam with a diverse working-class and immigrant population, and a troubled history.
The storytelling project 'Portret van de Tarwewijk en haar bewoners' is an in depth exploration of this neighborhood: a kaleidoscopic portrait consisting of interviews with community members, photo-projects, illustrations, poems, a detailed historical timeline and historical photographs from the city archives.

The end products of this project were:
- a free newsprint publication
- an exhibition
- a public event

As the projectmanager I was responsible for the concept, art direction and most of the interviews. All the artwork for this project was made by local artists.
